Intelligent Microtube Management System

OVERVIEW

The Intelligent Microtube is a microtube with RFID technology with which a Coil-on-Chip RFID tag is imbedded in the bottom of microtube. The advantages of the Intelligent Microtube are that users don't need to affix a label to an Intelligent Microtube and data is protected during -80 degrees C storage.

ISSUES UNDER LOW-TEMPERATURE STORAGE

As a few examples of samples stored in a freezer of -80 degrees C, there are blood, bacteria and powdery DNA/RNA. When these are removed from the freezer, users may face the following issues.

RFID management of microtubes materializes by stand-alone system of a PC and a reader/writer for the Intelligent Microtube. Also, it is possible to cooperate with network file system by forming a system.

BACKUP

In case of the loss of data, the unique ID of RFID chip that consists of 8 column alphanumerics characters is inscribed on the side of the Intelligent Microtube by laser. Because users can save the Intelligent Microtube data to a PC or server, they can search the unique ID and recover any lost data. Moreover, users can reduce the usual hassle involved with use of labels.

  3. Displays data in 8 microtubes on the line by clicking a microtube in rack image.
  4. Able to enter data in Excel-like format and view the entered microtubes on screen.
  5. Imports and Exports data as CSV file.
  6. Able to locate microtubes in a rack by keyword.
  7. Able to program TUBE ID freely when initializes microtube data.
    * TUBE ID is a serial number. (Max. 8 column)
    (Programs serial numbers until F8 automatically when enter any serial number at A1.)
